Maeve O’Connell



Maeve has worked with Dog Eared Films’ as cinematographer. 

She was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland where she achieved an honors degree in music and mathematics from Trinity College Dublin. Maeve then worked in arts administration, primarily with the Mermaid Arts Centre. The artists and filmmakers she worked with there prompted her to follow her passion into filmmaking. 

She attended the Filmbase Training Centre and then spent two years working in the Irish film industry before relocating to London to further her training at the London Film School where she specialized in cinematography. 

Both within Dog Eared Films and as a freelance cinematographer, Maeve collaborates with directors and artists to bring projects to life, using the image as a powerful story telling tool. She brings to the table not only her technical skills, garnered from professional studio and location shooting across the world, but more importantly her passion, motivation, creativity and an open mind! 

Maeve’s work to date has been screened on BBC, MTV, Kerrang TV, and at festivals including Edinburgh, Tribecca, Los Angeles, Clermont-Ferrand, Bristol Encounters, Portobello, Philadelphia, Cork and Jackson Hole. You can view more examples of her work here.
